I wish you would stop talking. (Keşke konuşmayı bıraksan.) (ay viş yu vud sıtap tolking.)

I wish they would stop arguing. (Keşke tartışmayı bıraksalar.) (ay viş dey vud sıtap argyuing.)

I wish this bus would go faster. (Keşke bu otobüs daha hızlı gitse.) (ay viş diz bas vud go festır.)

 

Wishes about the past : Geçmişle ilgili dilekler

If only

If only + Subject + Verb (Simple Past) +…………………….

If only I had more money. (Keşke daha fazla param olsaydı.) (if onli ay hed mor mani.)

If only you were here. (Keşke burada olsaydın.) (if onli yu vör hiyır.)

 

If only + Subject + Verb (Past Perfect) +…………………….

If only I’d listened to you. (Keşke seni dinlemiş olsaydım.) (if onli ayd lisınd tu yu.)

If only I had known him then. (Keşke onu tanımış olsaydım.) (if onli ay ed novn him den.)

 

Complete this sentences with the correct form of the verb in brackets. (Cümleleri ,parantez içinde verilen fiillerin doğru (doğru zamanda )şekliyle tamamlayınız.)
